We live at the top of a hill. When we leave our house, we sail easily down into town. Coming home can be a little less carefree. On a particularly grueling commute home one night, a pedestrian across the street yelled, “You can do it!” His encouragement, and the reminder of how good it would feel to go back down the hill the next day, got us home.
